The brochure contains a set of statistical information concerning the basic aspects of the functioning of Katowice and the life of its inhabitants. It also presents a calendar of the most important events in the history of the city and its current place in the field of cooperation with national and international organisations. More important social and economic indicators were related to the measures at the level of Śląskie Voivodship, Górnośląsko-Zagłębiowska Metropolis and country.
