The publication has served as a key source of information on demographic trends, living standards, economic conditions and the state of the natural environment in the voivodship. The statistical information has been organised into 21 thematic chapters. In addition, two overview tables present major data for the voivodship for the years 2010, 2015, 2020 and 2024, together with selected indicators comparing the voivodship with the national average for 2024. The statistical content is complemented by maps and charts. The publication also includes general notes and chapter-specific methodological explanations, clarifying the terminology used and the principles applied in compiling the data.

The current edition of the Yearbook has been enriched with, among other things, data on wages and salaries by occupation for October 2024. The publication also reflects changes arising from the development and modification of statistical surveys, notably in the fields of health care and the information society.
