The publication provides information on the living standards and conditions of the population, economic conditions and the natural environment of the Śląskie Voivodship. The data are divided into 21 thematic chapters. Additionally, selected chapters contain information on the Delimitation of Rural Areas (DOW) in Śląskie Voivodship. The study also contains two overview tables presenting more important data on the Voivodship in the years 2000, 2010, 2015 and 2023, as well as selected information on the Voivodship in comparison to the country in 2023. The statistical material contained in the publication has been supplemented by general notes and chapter notes explaining the concepts used and the methods of data compilation. Statistical tables in the publication are supported by graphical illustrations in the form of maps and charts.

In the current edition of the Yearbook, data on the resident population of Poland from 2023 onwards, derived from the balances compiled on the basis of the results of the 2021 National Population and Housing Census, have been used to generalise the LFS results to the general population. Data for the years 2019-2022 have been recalculated following the new reference base for the generalisation of results and therefore differ from those presented in previous editions of the Yearbook. In addition, the study presents preliminary data on the consumption of mineral, lime and natural fertilisers and on the equipment of agricultural holdings with tractors, derived from the integrated farm statistics.
