Major indicators characterising socioeconomic situation of the voivodship, i.e., in the field of labour market and wages and salaries, prices, finances of enterprises, agriculture, industry, construction and trade.

The elaboration presents changes in the structure of registered entities in the Śląskie Voivodship in the national official register of entities of the national economy REGON. The units are presented, among others, by ownership sectors, selected legal forms, the expected number of employed persons, sections and divisions of the Polish Classification of Activities 2007 (PKD 2007) as well as by subregions, powiats and gminas.

The publication was prepared on the basis of generalized results of the sample Labour Force Survey (LFS), conducted in the fourth quarter of 2017. The aim of the study was to assess the situation in terms of economic activity of the population, i.e. the fact of performing work, being unemployed or economically inactive in the reference week. The publication comprises the analytical and tabular parts as well as the explanation of basic definitions and concepts. The analytical commentary has been enriched with the graphic presentation of data in the form of graphs.
