The Guidebook contains legal bases of functioning of official statistics, its tasks, organization, informational resources and rules connected with dissemination of information. On this background the tasks and organization of statistics on regional level – the Statistical Office in Katowice – have been presented. The CD-ROM is a supplement to the Guidebook. It contains the list of reports and questionnaires elaborated by official statistics services in 2013 as well as schedules of publishing: current information – preliminary results, indices and magnitudes announced by the President of the CSO. The material has been enriched with an occasional historical supplement in the form of a leaflet 50 Years of Statistics in the Voivodship and the first digital publication – Statistical Yearbook of the Katowickie Voivodship 1979.
