The Guidebook presents the legal basis for the functioning of official statistics, its tasks, organization, information resources and forms of data dissemination as well as selected statistical products. Against this background, the organization and activities of the Statistical  Office in Katowice were presented. The electronic version of the publication contains active links facilitating direct access to respective statistical databases.
