The folder "Śląskie Voivodship in Numbers 2016" includes a comprehensive set of statistical data characterising the socioeconomic situation of the voivodship in the years 2012-2015. The elaboration presents information on the essential areas of the inhabitants’ lives as well as the socioeconomic situation of our voivodship in the tabular and graphic form. In order to provide a more complete picture of the voivodship, selected themes have been presented on the level of subregions and against the country and other voivodships. The statistical presentation of the city of Katowice against the Śląskie Voivodship and other voivodship capitals completes the folder. For the first time, the concept of the sustainable development, which is one of the most important challenges of today’s world, has been presented in the folder.
